The biggest disadvantage of this tank is its very poor mobility. The front armor plates here are almost impregnable. ![]() This vehicle has very high damage per minute and extraordinary armor. It does best in direct close-range clashes. This vehicle has decent mobility for a heavy tank. The tank has incredible armor and a good gun firing rate. So just know what your fighting.The KV-1 is a Soviet-Union heavy tank. You don't want to try and slug it with a tier 6 su 100TD, who has just as big a gun, and reloads faster than you. Now saying that, there are many other tanks with big guns that have as much firepower and a faster reload. ![]() If you and another tank are behind cover taking potshots, usually the KV1s will come out the winner in the end since its bang is much bigger than others. Always carry a few HE ammo for those lightly armored tanks that you turn the corner and see their exposed butts. So always aim, always try to hit something, and always try to damage something even if its just piddling HE ammo that isn't going to do much, but your hoping for a lucky hit at a weak spot. Your long reload doesn't let you do constant damage, missing a shot basically means you did nothing for 30 seconds instead of actually damaging something. And like the KV2, you want to have EVERY SHOT COUNT. So you never want to try and slugfest with it, its a peek and hide shooter, period, just like the KV2. KV1s is also great for trading 1 vs 1 shots with most anything, you only have a disadvantage vs a good player who knows they can have you shoot, then can advance and get some free shots in while you are waiting for a reload. The KV2 doesn't have that ability, but it has a bigger gun. ![]() It's basically a KV2, with a lesser derp gun, but faster and more manuverable to let you peek and shoot, then get under cover easier, or dodge enemy tanks until your reload is ready. Because of its long reload you play it as a KV2, shoot with the big gun, then get under cover until reload is ready. ![]()
